  • Beschreibung: This study looks at the role of energy transition in reaching carbon neutrality in Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries between 2000 and 2020. The panel corrected standard error (PCSE), instrument variables - generalised moment of method (IV-GMM), and quantile regression approaches are used to account for the possibility of cross-sectional dependence, heteroscedasticity, endogeneity, and heterogeneity in the model. The empirical results show that energy transitions contribute to carbon neutrality; however, the impact varies significantly across energy transition indicators and quantiles. As a result, this research adds to the potential heterogeneity of the direct effects of transitions and green indicators towards carbon neutrality in OECD countries. Based on our findings, we propose policies that promote green policies, politics, technological innovation, and finance all at the same time
