  • Beschreibung: In today's highly competitive markets, firms no longer compete as independent entities but as business networks. Partnerships are crucial for firms to be relevant in network competition. Starting and evolving partnerships require investing time and resources in nurturing relationships. The supply chain business network provides a great digital twin to perform these activities.Business leaders understand that trust is a critical component in building these relationships and wonder if the use of digital technologies can positively influence the trust-building process. This in-progress study aims to contribute to the supply chain integration literature by providing practical evidence about companies that joined supply chain business networks and built trust with their partners using digital technologies. We base our research on the premise that trust cannot be implemented and adopted. Trust is not binary; trust evolves. We employ a qualitative use case methodology, performing the study in a natural setting. Our data collection and analysis use a multi-case design to understand the complex trust-building process by studying two buyer supplier dyads (four case studies in total). We expect our research to help firms improve their partnerships by delivering superior value as business networks in the marketplace
