Agricultural laborers play a crucial role in the agricultural sector, which forms the backbone of India's economy. Understanding the spatio-temporal variation of wages for these laborers is essential for policymakers and researchers in order to develop effective strategies for rural development, poverty alleviation, and labour welfare. This abstract provides an overview of the study investigating the spatiotemporal variation of agricultural labourer wages in India.The study employs a comprehensive dataset comprising wage information collected from various regions across India over a specific time period. The dataset includes wages earned by agricultural laborers engaged in various agricultural activities, such as cultivation, harvesting, and other related tasks. The temporal aspect of the study focuses on analysing wage variations over a specific time period, while the spatial aspect explores wage disparities across different regions of the country.To analyse the spatio-temporal variation, the study employs advanced statistical techniques, including geospatial analysis, regression modelling, and time-series analysis. The geospatial analysis helps identify spatial patterns and regional disparities in agricultural labourer wages. The regression modelling allows for the identification of key determinants influencing wage variations, such as crop type, agricultural productivity, labour demand and supply dynamics, and government policies. The time-series analysis enables the identification of temporal trends and cyclical patterns in wages, considering factors such as seasonal variations and economic conditions.The findings of the study shed light on the spatio-temporal dynamics of agricultural labourer wages in India. It provides insights into the factors influencing wage variations, which can help policymakers design targeted interventions to improve the income and living standards of agricultural laborers.
