  • Beschreibung: The essence of corporate digital transformation is to transform general-purpose technology into specific technology truly needed for development. Unlike informatization related on business outsourcing, digitalization needs professional labors skilled in digital hardware and software, which means that the corporate digital transformation would promote labor structure upgrade. In order to test this theoretical hypothesis, this paper, based on the financial data and text data of annual reports of listed companies in China, uses word segmentation technology and word frequency statistical method to construct corporate digital transformation indicators, and empirically tests the impact of corporate digital transformation on labor force structure. From the empirical outcomes we can draw the conclusion that corporate digital transformation has significantly increased the proportion of highly educated, highly skilled and R&D researchers. In this process, China's unique "Engineer Dividend" can enhance the positive impact of digital transformation on the upgrading of labor structure. The conclusion of this paper provides rich empirical evidence for accelerating the digital transformation and taking advantages of "Engineer Dividend" in China
