Nowadays, sustainability is a vital term in any organization, company or government; it allows to maintain the relationship and balance with the environment to avoid the scarcity of resources and prevent the risk to future generations (FAO, 2023). On the other hand, make rational use by implementing techniques that reduce environmental impact (recycle, reuse and reduce), bring about better economics by lowering costs and increasing profitability, by reduction of external input procurement (Mora-Angarita, et al., 2021; Merino, 2023).San Calixto is a municipality located in the department of Norte de Santander. It is a cold climate zone (temperature varies between 12-29°C), with abundant diversity in fauna and flora. The soils are rich in nutrients, water and minerals, from which high quality crops such as coffee, banana, onion, beans, corn, celery, cassava, among others are obtained (Guerrero & Muñoz, 2017. p.6)
