Deux papyrus quelque peu endommagés sont ici étudiés et donnent un aperçu des modèles de composition que l’on trouve plus largement dans les textes magiques existants. Le premier, une invocation qui décrit les actions significatives d’Hécate-Sélénè, chacune suivie d’un nom magique, est un modèle que l’on retrouve ailleurs dans les papyrus magiques grecs et les arétalogies d’Isis. Le second est la recette d’une amulette qui combine une séquence de noms magiques disposés en bloc (plinthos), suivie d’une prière, qui semble avoir été particulièrement populaire dans les amulettes contre la goutte, une tradition qui se perpétue jusqu’au ve siècle de notre ère.
This article suggests how two somewhat damaged papyri might be restored and how they give us insight into patterns of design found more widely in the extant magical texts. The first, an invocation that describes the significant actions of Hekate-Selene, each followed by nonsensical magical name, a pattern that we find elsewhere in the Greek magical papyri and the aretalogies of Isis and the second is recipe for an amulet that combines a sequence of magical names arranged in a block (plinthos), followed by a prayer, that seems to have been particularly popular in amulets against gout, a tradition that continues down into the fifth century CE.
