<jats:p>Anomalous transport of multi-species plasma is considered with the generalized Hasegawa–Wakatani model. It is shown that the transport of all plasma species is described by fractional diffusion equations with the same effective diffusion coefficient. Strongly enhanced perturbations of heavy impurity density are found in long-living plasma flow vortices.</jats:p>
