  • Beschreibung: Operator methods are used to obtain solutions of the Bloch equations for circularly polarized fields and pulsed fields. These methods allow the solutions to be obtained in vector form. When T1 = T2, explicit analytical results are obtained. A perturbation method is given for T1 ≠ T2. An explicit formal solution is given for the magnetization after a sequence of n rf pulses. This treatment does not neglect relaxation effects during the pulses and the pulse sequence is of the form {θ0/2, θ0, θ0.···}, where θ0 is arbitrary. In the special case where θ0 = π, one obtains the usual 90°—180° pulse sequence. Formulas are derived which enable one to obtain explicit results in some important special cases.
