<jats:p>An analytical cell has been designed for the angle type quantity rotor of the air-driven ultracentrifuge. Sieve-like partitions covered with filter paper separate the cell into two or three compartments from which fractions can be removed for chemical analysis or for bioassay. Fourteen tubes each containing 4.5 cc of solution can be run simultaneously. Equations have been derived for the calculation of sedimentation constants from the analytical data.</jats:p>
