  • Beschreibung: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>In the current study, an investigation was carried out to evaluate the corrosion characteristics of thermal spray coated SS316L with Ni-80Cr as a coating material developed by Detonation-Gun method. The corrosion behavior was investigated on uncoated SS, single layer coated SS316L and multilayer coated SS316L by conducting the corrosion test for 90 hours in stagnant seawater. Results showed that corrosion resistance of SS316L was found to be increased by single and multilayer coating of Ni-80Cr. The coating of Ni-80Cr alloy was found to enhance corrosion resistance.</jats:p>
