<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title>
<jats:p>As the final output element of the magnetostrictive actuator, the material, size and shape selected by the radiant plate will affect the output efficiency of the actuator directly. Based on the theoretical analysis on natural frequency of thin circular plate and thick circular plate with peripheral fixing-supported, the result shows that the ratio of the thickness of circular plate to the square of its radius can be determined by material and vibration mode of the circular plate, and in portion to its natural frequency . when frequency of circular plate and circular plate vibration mode shapes are selected, the ratio of the thickness to the area of the circular plate is constant, which provides the basis for acoustic actuator radiation plate geometric design.</jats:p>
