<jats:p>Given the heterogeneity of labour market and social outcomes across regions around the world, this chapter discusses recent economic and labour market developments across and within five ILO regions, highlighting the main challenges to the short‐term employment and social prospects. An assessment of the latest trends and projections for unemployment, status in employment, working poverty and labour productivity is provided for each of the regions.</jats:p>
