Beschreibung:
<jats:p>1‐Lithiumoxy‐2‐buten‐2‐yl‐lithium and 1‐lithiumoxy‐2‐buten‐3‐yl‐lithium, both as pure (<jats:italic>Z</jats:italic>)‐stereoisomers, are easily obtained by halogen/metal exchange between <jats:italic>s</jats:italic>‐butyllithium and (<jats:italic>E</jats:italic>)‐2‐bromo or (<jats:italic>E</jats:italic>)‐3‐bromo 2‐buten‐1‐ol, respectively. The starting materials are readily available through dehydrobromination of <jats:italic>threo</jats:italic>‐2, 3‐dibromo 1‐butanol. The new organolithium compounds are useful intermediates for the preparation of configurationally homogeneous, specifically substituted and branched alkenols.</jats:p>
