<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The INCOSE (ANSI/EIA 632) systems engineering model may not be adequate for an <jats:italic>enterprise</jats:italic> environment, in which environmental influences and the interaction of people, processes, and technology are not taken into account. This paper considers some “systems thinking” concepts and applies them to develop an expanded model that may be more appropriate in the enterprise environment.</jats:p>
