<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>An experiment to determine the distribution of methyl bromide gas in a pyramid‐shaped stack of bagged decorticated groundnuts in Kano, Nigeria, is described. It was considered that, in view of the poor distribution of gas observed, a pyramid‐shaped stack is probably unsuitable for a fumigation in which injection of the gas at a single point is used.</jats:p>
