<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The potosensibilization effect of anthracene and its substituted derivatives on the oxidation of styrene‐butadiene copolymer (SBR) was investigated. The potosensitized oxidation of SBR is explained on the basis of a reaction between singlet oxygen and the copolymer.</jats:p>
