  • Beschreibung: AbstractA numerical procedure based on a genetic algorithm is proposed in order to synthesize a linear, sparse, and aperiodic array to be used in a beamforming processor. The method is aimed to minimize the sidelobe peak of the beam pattern acting on the elements' positions and weights. Obtained results also confirm the effectiveness of the approach in comparison with other techniques in the related literature. © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
