<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The <jats:sup>13</jats:sup>C NMR signals of the two methyl groups in 4‐hydroxy‐1‐isopropyl‐2‐oxaadamantane are anisochronous in the presence of Yb(fod)<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>. This is interpreted in terms of the different populations of three rotational conformers.</jats:p>
