  • Beschreibung: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The diffuse reflectance spectrum of cuprous oxide (Cu<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O) for both pure and diluted samples has been studied in the region 200 to 1000 nm. Four bands having energies 2.67, 3.85, 4.64, and 5.00 eV have been observed. The results are discussed in the light of the band structure of Cu<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O. The forbidden energy gap has been estimated to be 2.02 eV.</jats:p>
