  • Beschreibung: Seismology from the ground has already provided many important results, as discussed for instance in Frandsen (1997) and in this symposium. The limitations of this approach are essentially the day-night alternance and the meteorological instabilities for photometry, the lack of photons and the broadening of spectral lines due to rotation for spectroscopy. Seismology from space is less limited, as photometry at a very high accuracy on long uninterrupted observing runs is possible.
