  • Beschreibung: Diffusional coupling effects may cause uphill transport of a species against its concentration gradient. Transient overshoots and serpentine equilibration trajectories in composition space are fingerprints of uphill diffusion. Serpentine diffusion trajectories may enter meta-stable zones, leading to spontaneous emulsification and the Ouzo effect.
