AbstractFrom Southern Sweden 2040 gamasina mites of 31 species were collected from 51 nests of Talpa europaea L. The taxicoenosis may be described as a Haemogamasinae—Euryparasitus emarginatus— Myonyssus rossicus acarocoenosis, dominated by Haemogamasus hirsutus. In most species more females than males were found and more adults than larvae and nymphs. In two species, Euryparasitus emarginatus and Parasitus niveus these ratios were different, e.g. ∼ 1.
