<jats:p> Describes an attempt to assess the effectiveness of the Information Skills Programme (ISP), designed to stimulate thinking in organizations, in an organization in the rubber-producing sector in Malaysia. The project aimed to develop skills in time management, the use of information and the use of information technology among factory workers and their supervisors and managers. Participants were also helped to develop skills in analyzing, evaluating, organizing and presenting information. The results showed that ISP encouraged thinking, not only among top management, but in all personnel within the organization. </jats:p>
