  • Beschreibung:
Historians and those interested in Civil War history will not be disappointed in the large number of Internet sites dealing with ths subject. The vast array of primary and secondary resources related to the Civil War includes the full range from the Abolition movement through Reconstruction (1830s to 1890s). Available materials include the full texts of diaries, letters, government documents of all sorts, maps, images, and even online discussion groups for Civil War topics. Many sites contian the texts of rare materials enabling the present‐day historian to travel virtually to many computerized collections regardless of the distances from his or her computer. The resource list in this article is drawn from Rutgers University’s Web page, Civil War Resources on the Internet: Abolitionism to Reconstruction.
