  • Beschreibung: <jats:title>ABSTRACT</jats:title> <jats:p> Pyrazinamide (PZA) is an important component of first-line therapy for the treatment of tuberculosis. Here, we evaluate targeted gene sequencing as a supplement to phenotypic PZA susceptibility testing of <jats:named-content content-type="genus-species">Mycobacterium tuberculosis</jats:named-content> . Routine sequencing of <jats:italic>pncA</jats:italic> , but not <jats:italic>rpsA</jats:italic> , is effective for verification of PZA susceptibility results. </jats:p>
