<jats:p>Abnormal heart rhythms, or dysrythmias, are a common finding in small animals. They can present a clinical challenge as some dysrhythmias may be benign and well tolerated, whereas others have the potential to be life‐threatening and require anti‐arrhythmic treatment and monitoring. This article reviews some common scenarios and discusses some possible strategies for dealing with these potentially challenging cases.</jats:p>
