The authors' purpose in writing this book is to answer a need for a concise review and summary of our present knowledge of allergy in cnildren for those who treat such patients. They aim to present the generally accepted points of view; in instances of controversial opinions these are briefly documented. When these are based chiefly on clinical experience, their own conclusions are given; in instances when their own opinions differ, these are indicated in the text.
