We were interested in the response of Drs. Euler and Ament to our article. We are especially appreciative of the reference to their publication,1 which we did not know of at the time of submission of our paper. Dr. Euler and colleagues confirm our results of elevated postpartum gastrin concentrations in the neonate, as have Niessen et al.2 In their second communication Dr. Euler et al. have also proved our findings in mothers and their offspring.3
