  • Beschreibung: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Two new ionic [Fe(<jats:italic>bpy</jats:italic>)<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>](ONC(CN)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>·2HONC(CN)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>) and [Fe(<jats:italic>phen</jats:italic>)<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>](ONC(CN)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> (<jats:bold>2</jats:bold>) complexes have been synthesized (<jats:italic>bpy</jats:italic> is 2,2′-bipyridine, <jats:italic>phen</jats:italic> is 1,10-phenanthroline). X-ray structural analysis ((<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>): <jats:italic>P</jats:italic>2<jats:sub>1</jats:sub>/<jats:italic>n</jats:italic>, <jats:italic>a</jats:italic>=11.7294(5), <jats:italic>b</jats:italic>=22.0774(11), <jats:italic>c</jats:italic>=16.2415(8) Å, <jats:italic>β</jats:italic>=98.910(5)°; (<jats:bold>2</jats:bold>): <jats:italic>P</jats:italic>2<jats:sub>1</jats:sub>/<jats:italic>c</jats:italic>, <jats:italic>a</jats:italic>=9.4951(3), <jats:italic>b</jats:italic>=21.6640(9), <jats:italic>c</jats:italic>=17.3365(6) Å, <jats:italic>β</jats:italic>=92.483(3)°) revealed that their structures consist of one [Fe(<jats:italic>bpy</jats:italic>)<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> or [Fe(<jats:italic>phen</jats:italic>)<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> complex cation and two uncoordinated nitrosodicyanomethanide, ONC(CN)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> <jats:sup>-</jats:sup> counteranions; two molecules of unique nitrosodicyanomethanide acid HONC(CN)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> were found in (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>), too. In the cations, the Fe(II) atom is coordinated by six nitrogen atoms of chelate coordinated neutral ligands forming a distorted octahedron coordination geometry. Both structures are stabilized by π-π interactions and hydrogen bonds, which are very strong in (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>).</jats:p>
