  • Beschreibung: <jats:p>The term leadership has been studied since the century XIX. Nowadays, independent its nature, leadership is being demanded by every company and hospital companies either. The exploratory research with qualitative approach that is proceeded had the objective to know the leadership meaning attributed by the male nurses. Eight male nurses that acted in the nursing leadership of a public hospital of Paraíba state constituted the population. The technique used to data collection it was the semi-structured interview composed of nine questions. Data discussion was the analysis of the questions content. Starting from the obtained answers we verified that the male nurses are wanting in their qualification at the masters degree level. They also have fears of risks that can commit your leadership position. We ended that nurses need an inform orientation that recognizes your capacity to fulfill your objectives and to get them a better quality attendance to the patients.</jats:p>
