This paper provides an overview of WPT technology and its application in the EV industry. The paper first discusses the basic principles of WPT, including inductive and resonant coupling, as well as the design considerations for efficient and safe charging. The paper then delves into the advantages and challenges of WPT for EVs, including convenience, safety, and potential infrastructure cost savings, as well as efficiency, regulatory, and standardization concerns. The paper also reviews recent research and development efforts in WPT technology for EVs, including both academic and industry efforts. Finally, the paper concludes with a discussion of the future prospects of WPT for EVs, emphasizing the need for continued research and development to overcome the challenges and maximize the potential benefits of this technology.</jats:p>
