<jats:p>The article is devoted to the role of women's activity in Dagestan in the second half of the 19th century through the prism of Islam. During this period, the woman enjoyed the rights and privileges prescribed by the norms of Islam. Women's rights to inheritance, interfaith marriages and the opportunity to occupy leadership positions are discussed.</jats:p>
