<jats:p>Abstract </jats:p>
<jats:p>Testimony of the pre-hispanic metallurgical-mining activity was found in two sites next to Aconquija, near the Capillitas mineral deposits (Catamarca, Argentina). An attempt to evaluate the significance of such activity is reached through the analysis of archaeological evidence and its consolidation to the entire production process. An association is settled between the deposits location with natural resources and in particular, with minerals of the region.</jats:p>
