<jats:p>Employment problems in German Democratic Republic </jats:p>
<jats:p>This paper studies the quantitative evolution of employment and activity rates in a land where working forces are rare. It deals with the geographical pattern of employment growth and with sectorial and qualitative evolutions of employment. Natural and migratory balances are studied in relation to work ability. The structure and the dynamics of inter-districts migrations in time and space are described by entropy measure and by Markow-chains model.</jats:p>
