<jats:p><i>The article presents the results of research and literature studies in terms of the perception
of threats. The author presents the main factors affecting the quality and efficiency of the
perception of threats. The paper firstly looks at an integrated model of the perception of the
warning signal and, secondly, the complexity and multidiscipline of the approach required
by this model, arguing and advocating broadening the field of interest in security sciences
to other fields and disciplines.</i></jats:p>
