<jats:p>In the southern part of Jutland pieces of Juniperus wood have been found over long stretches in a trench dug for a Danish gas pipe line system. Radiocarbon-dating, comparison with palaeobotanical records known from other localities, and the stratigraphical sequence in the area, point to a probable age of between the Brcrup/Odderade interstadial(s) and ea. 45.000 years B.P.
The morphology of the alluvial fan near Frcslev and its stratigraphy makes it reasonable to assume that the fan has not been affected by the Middle Weichselian ice and its meltwater streams.</jats:p>
