  • Beschreibung: Utilizing 67,000 m³ of dredged sand, an industrial landfill and artificial beach were emplaced in the Moulin Blanc section of Brest. The resulting beach is 100 to 120 m wide, extending from 1 m below mean tide level to 0.5 to 1.0 m above high spring tide, and 1,000 m in length. Despite persistent pollution problems the beach is very much used by the local populace.
