Die Jugendlichen in ihrer Verschiedenartigkeit und ihrer Heterogeneität sind die Darsteller des europäischen Konstruktionsprozesses. Aber Europa steht an der Wegscheide. Ein europäisches Integrationsmodel ist uns vorgeschlagen worden, welches im Groen und Ganzen vom nordamerikanischen Beispiel inspiriert ist. Aber Europa ist nicht Amerika. In manchen Beziehungen könnte es sogar das genaue Gegenteil sein. Ein neues Integrationsmodell müte geschaffen werden, welches die Besonderheiten und Eigenschaften jedes einzelnen Mitgliedsstaates hat. Wie die Europäinisierungsidee es anregt, müte sich zu den nationalen Identitäten die der Europäischen hinzufügen, und sie nicht ersetzen. Aber welche Wahl wird die Jugend treffen ?
Les jeunes dans leur diversité et leur hétérogénéité sont les acteurs du processus de construction européenne. Mais l’ Europe est à la croisée des chemins. Un modèle d’intégration européenne nous a été proposé qui, dans une très large mesure, est inspiré de l’exemple Nord Américain. Mais l’Europe n’est pas l’Amérique. À maints égards, ce serait même l’exact opposé. Un nouveau modèle d’intégration devrait être inventé, tenant des particularités et des caractéristiques de chacun des États membres. Comme le suggère l’idée "Europeanisation", l’identité européenne devrait se sur-ajouter aux identités nationales, non les remplacer. Mais quelle sera l’option prise par les jeunes ?
Different and heterogenous, Young people are actors in the processus of European construction. But Europe stands at the crossroad. An European integration framework has been put forward, which for a great part comes from the North American example. But Europe is not America. In many respect, it just the exact opposite. A new model has to be invented, taking into account the national specificities and caracteristics of each members of the European Union. As suggested by the word "EUROPAITAT", the European identity ought to be added up over the national identites, not to replace them. What choice Young people will make ?
Los jóvenes, en su diversidad y heterogeneidad, son los actores del proceso de construcción europea. Pero Europa está en el cruce de los caminos. Se nos ha propuesto un modelo de integración europea inspirado en gran medida del ejemplo norteamericano. Pero Europa no es Estados Unidos. Por muchos aspectos sería, más bien, exactamente lo contrario. Debería inventarse un nuevo modelo de integración que tuviese en cuenta las particularidades y características de cada uno de los Estados miembros. Como lo sugiere la idea de europeización, la identidad europea debería agregarse a las identidades nacionales, no reemplazarlas. Pero, cuál será la opción tomada por los jóvenes ?
