Field anthropology : particularities of Egypt . After a short review of «Field Anthropology» we show that in this field scarcely anything has been done in ancient Egypt while the potentialities are very important. A problematic, taking into account the historical and taphonomic problems of the Nile valley, is defined. The first «Field Anthropology» studies on the Predynastic cemetery of Adaïma give new datas about mortuary practices of this period but also about methodological problems of osteo-archaeology.
Après un bref historique de l’anthropologie de terrain on montre qu’ alors même que les civilisations de l’Egypte ancienne seraient le terrain idéal pour une approche anthropologique des sépultures bien peu de choses ont été réalisées dans ce domaine. Une problématique nilotique tenant compte des problèmes historiques et des particularités taphonomiques est alors définie. Les premières études dans ce domaine réalisées sur la nécropole Prédynastique d’Adaïma tout en apportant de nouveaux éléments pour ces périodes permettent d’aborder les fondements méthodologiques de l’Anthropologie de Terrain.
