At 13 localities of the Hahaland (Morocco), paleo-wind directions have been deduced from the bedding attitudes of outcropping cemented maghrebian dune sands. They show that the prevailing wind that formed this dunes blew roughly from the North, and was stronger than the present one. So the cemented dunes are proofs of the, at least seasonnal, increasing aridity.
La reconstitution des directions de paléovents responsables des édifices sableux de la rasa maghrébienne, effectuée en 13 localités du Pays Haha, montre l'existence d'un vent de Nord renforcé, et donc d'une ou plusieurs phases d'accroissement, au moins saisonnier, de l'aridité.
