Dans la Communauté Urbaine de Brest, l'espace agricole diminue sous la poussée urbaine mais les exploitations agricoles restent nombreuses. Ces tendances varient selon les points du territoire communautaire. Au nord, se maintiennent des exploitations d'élevage productivistes conformes au modèle léonard. A l'ouest et surtout au sud, à Plougastel-Daoulas, se développe une agriculture serriste à haut niveau technologique.
In the Communauté Urbaine of Brest, the surface of farmland is gradually schrinking. Trends are however different from one part of the zone to another. In its northern part, intensive breeding farms are still numerous, as they are in neighbouring Léon. In the west and even more in the south of the Communauté, in Plougastel-Daoulas, green-house units, with a high level of technology, are steadly growing.
