The deindustrialization and the relocation of the activities are concepts and phenomena still little approached in geography. Nevertheless, within the framework of the contemporary globalization, they occupy a central place because they concern in variable proportions all the territories of industrial nations, as well as all the business sectors, quite particularly in France. So they deserve to be clearly defined.
