The coast of Grand-Bassam is a part of the Ivory Coast, constituted of wide sandy beaches with coconut palms along, and has received its first tourist investments. Grand-Bassam, close to Abidjan, is invested by a mass tourism, favoured by the proliferation of huts along the coast. The local residents and the municipality find in this new activity important incomes and a cartography of this environment is necessary for a good planning of the natural and socioeconomic environment.
Le littoral de l’Est-ivoirien, constitué de larges plages de sable bordées de cocotiers, a reçu les premiers investissements touristiques. Grand-Bassam, par sa proximité d’Abidjan, se prête naturellement à un tourisme de masse, favorisé par la prolifération de cabanes le long du littoral. Les populations riveraines et la municipalité tirent de cette nouvelle activité des revenus si importants, qu’une cartographie de ce milieu est nécessaire pour une bonne maîtrise de l’environnement naturel et socio-économique.
