En suivant de près le développement du raisonnement dans le Tractatus d'une part, en opérant, d'autre part, un certain nombre de prélèvements dans les Investigations, l'article examine quelle a été la position de Wittgenstein par rapport au problème de la métalangue à ces deux époques de sa vie et en conclut que, malgré des divergences au niveau de la méthode, il a persisté dans son refus de la métalangue.
By closely following the unfolding of the reasoning in the Tractatus on the one hand, and by concentrating on a number of excerpts from the Investigations on the other hand, this paper investigates Wittgenstein's position on the problem of metalanguage at these two different periods of his life , and concludes that, in spite of an evolution in his methodological approach, he was steadfast in his refusal of metalanguage.
