Nous avons montré dans ce travail qu 'il est possible de faciliter la représentation perspective chez des enfants de 6-7 ans. Grâce à un dispositif expérimental les enfants produisent une rotation réelle dans un espace tridimensionnel et peuvent voir la transformation qu'ils ont eux-mêmes générée. Ils peuvent alors comparer la figure qu'ils ont sélectionnée par anticipation et la projection réelle de la figure en rotation. Trois techniques d'apprentissage sont utilisées. Elles diffèrent essentiellement par la nature de l'entretien expérimentateur-enfant. L'hypothèse de l'existence de trois modes de guidage de l'action du sujet au cours la résolution est proposée.
How 6-to-7 year-olds learn two-dimensional representations of objects rotating in a three dimensional space This study shows how 6-to-7 year-olds learn two-dimensional representations of objects rotating in a three dimensional space. The task consisted in predicting which form will be perceived when the figure observed will be rotating. Three training conditions were compared. For each training procedure, the cognitive interview of the child was different. One condition was based on Inhelder, Sinclair and Bovet ( 197 4 )'s paradigm for operational structure. Another condition was derived from information processing theories and more precisely from the « learning by doing » approach (Anzai & Simon, 1979). The third condition consists in asking the child to explain his/her actions and reasoning. Results demonstrate that learning is mainly a function of the training conditions. An interpretation in terms of guidance of action in problem solving is proposed.
