RÉSUMÉ On observe une grande diversité des territoires qui conservent leurs spécificités : ils doivent être analysés en appréhendant ce qui disparaît et ce qui se développe. Face à cette diversité, il est nécessaire de disposer d'un diagnostic global constituant un outil d'échange et de concertation entre les acteurs locaux, un outil de connaissance, d'analyse, d'aide à la décision. Le Système de Connaissance Décentralisé est un instrument nécessaire pour favoriser l'élaboration d'une politique différenciée d'aménagement du territoire.
