Après des traductions antérieures dans les langues modernes courantes, la Lex Irnitana est pour la première fois mise à la disposition des néerlandophones, avec l’intention de suivre le texte latin de la manière la plus reconnaissable possible et de ne pas tomber dans une paraphrase libre. La traduction est basée sur l’édition de texte de J. G. Wolf (2011). L’introduction vise à se familiariser avec un certain nombre de sujets de droit public qui jouent un rôle dans la Loi.
Na eerdere vertalingen in de gangbare moderne talen wordt voor het eerst de Lex Irnitana voor Nederlandstalige belangstellenden bereikbaar gemaakt, met de intentie de Latijnse tekst zo herkenbaar mogelijk te volgen en niet te vervallen tot een vrije parafrase. Aan de vertaling ligt ten grondslag de tekstuitgave van J. G. Wolf (2011). De inleiding is gericht op een kennismaking met een aantal publiekrechtelijke onderwerpen die in de Wet een rol spelen.
After earlier translations into the current modern languages, for the first time the Lex Irnitana will be made available to Dutch speakers, with the intention of following the Latin text as closely as possible and not lapsing into a free paraphrase. The translation is based on the text edition of J. G. Wolf (2011). The introduction is aimed at getting acquainted with a number of public law topics that play a role in the Lex.
