Dès les années 60, les manuels de l'enseignement secondaire ont introduit une nouvelle géographie scolaire sur le modèle de la géographie positiviste alors dominante. Ils ont ainsi contribué à fixer une vulgate largement reprise dans le programme national instauré en 1988.
During the 1960s secondary school text books introduced a new approach to the Geography curriculum based on postivist model of Geography dominant at the time. They also contributed to the establishment of a standard content which was largely adopted by the National Curriculum introduced in 1988.
