  • Beschreibung: The Italian paleolithic art is known and evident through its mediteranean specific component and through the franco-cantabric, naturalistic one. The better known and in the same time unique mobiliar art discoveries have been revealed in sites like : Vado all’Arancio – the bearbed man with toque, Polesini Cave – the hunted wolf, Paglicci Cave – the hourse shot with arrows. Altrough less than in the franco-cantabric area, in Italy you can find sites with wall art that are worth mentioning. The most important representation is that of the horses on the walls of Paglicci Cave and the carved scene found in Addaura Cave.
