Comme dans d’autres domaines des sciences sociales, la dérive militante intersectionnelle frappe l’analyse des mobilités. Un discours engagé tend à devenir dominant et s’impose au prix du sacrifice de la réalité historique et du vécu des citoyens. A la fin, des positions maximalistes, notamment en matière de transition environnementale et d’attention portée à la faisabilité des adaptations exigées en termes parfois moraux, s’avèrent malfaisantes et contreproductives.
Climate emergency sometimes gives rise to socially unsustainable positions taken in a peaceful democratic framework. As in other areas of social sciences, the intersectional activist drift targets the analysis of mobility. A committed discourse is becoming dominant and imposes itself while sacrificing historical reality and the experience of citizens. In the end, maximalist positions, particularly in terms of environmental transition and the attention paid to the feasibility of morally decent changes, turn into a harmful and counterproductive enterprise.
